An all round service

Redcentaur will design and implement your website using our well-developed design process. This will include you at every stage of the design but will not throw you in at the deep end of needing to understand a load of technical jargon. We don't just design your website for you, we will also register your domain name and host the site for you on our competitive hosting service.

Redcentaur does not use templates to design websites. All of our designs are bespoke to the client, are created from scratch and hand-coded to ensure the site performs cross-platform. We use the latest standards in web design as our benchmark. We do not use out-dated or outmoded methods that will affect the performance or usability of your website.

As part of our design service, we will maximise the benefits to search engines from the site and integrate accessibility into the design process. Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) assists search engines to crawl your site, understand its purpose and offer it in search results. Accessible design ensures that your site is suitable and usable by the largest number of visitors possible. These are key elements of design that are incorporated into our standard design work. Additional bolt-on extras can be included over and above this.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to state exactly how much your design will cost to produce without having a clear specification. A simple, 5 page static site design would cost approximately £650 (excluding hosting and registration).

But is now a good time to invest in a web site?

According to the Office of National Statistics (UK), in 2005 internet sales accounted for £103bn. Most customers - whether businesses or individual customers have internet access and use it to compare products or companies before making a purchase (whether over the internet, in person or by mail order). Internet sales are growing exponentially year on year. Currently, it is estimated that 7 out of every 10 companies have a web site. Those that do not are missing out on a vast market of potential customers and are likely to be missing out on a share of internet sales.

During the recent economic downturn, major companies have drastically reduced their marketing budgets, including on web development. This provides a great opportunity for small businesses to create and develop their websites while their major competitors are dormant. It is a great time to get ahead of the competition and develop a web site to draw your competitors' customers to you. As the signs of economic recovery start to improve, now is a good time to get your web identity up and running.
